Contact lens solution
■ PeroxiClear, from Bausch + Lomb, is a 3% hydrogen peroxide cleaning and disinfecting solution. The peroxide-based lens care solution uses the Bausch + Lomb’s Triple-Moist Technology, which helps to provide up to 20 hours of moisture, the company says. Also, the solution disinfects in four hours, says Bausch + Lomb.

Auto refractor
■ Topcon Medical Systems’ KR-800S Auto Kerato-Refractometer with subjective and glare testing uses the company’s Rotary Prism technology designed for accuracy and consistent measurements. Its subjective visual acuity testing allows users to acquire unique measurements for each patient. Other KR-800S tests include a visual acuity check for near and far, a contrast sensitivity test, a grid test and an assessment of patients’ visual acuity under glare conditions, which is geared toward cataract surgery candidates or those with poor night vision, the company says. The KR-800S device includes an 8.5” color touchscreen that displays readings.

Optical tool
■ The Titanium Pad Arm Kit, from Santinelli, allows you to add nose bridge support to plastic frames. The pad arms raise the frame, allow for adjustment of pantoscopic tilt and prevent the frame from continuous sliding without the need for glue or chemical adhesive, the company says. The kit includes a pin vise, drill bit, punch tool, 15 pairs of PVC nose pads and titanium arms in assorted colors. Pad arm refills are available in a variety of colors, styles and sizes.

Multifocal contact lens
■ The Expert Progressive lens, from Essilor CLS, is a multifocal GP contact lens featuring the company’s Slab Off Technology. This technology produces 360° uniform edge thickness for increased comfort. The lens allows no compromise of near or distance vision while providing clear intermediate vision, the company says. Parameters include base curves of 7.20mm to 8.60mm in 0.05mm steps and overall diameters of 8.50mm to 10.00mm in 0.50mm steps. Also, the lens features powers of –15.00D to +10.00D in 0.25D steps and add powers of +1.00D to +3.50D in 0.25D steps.

Practices can customize the 6” × 9” postcards to include messages on the front and back, a company logo and one of 18 image options. Also, the postcards mailings are automated, and customers can segment which patients receive them monthly. Each postcard costs 79 cents, which includes the price of postage.
