Dr. Contact Lens launched Drcontactlens.com , a HIPAA-compliant website that allows patients to order contact lenses from their practices. The platform provides reports on who has ordered, has never ordered, and is due to order contact lenses from the practice. Also, practitioners can see their potential sales revenue. The technology gives practitioners numerous ways to market to their patient base — for example, reminders and subscription texts and emails.

Velocity LTE Spin Coating System, from Coburn Technologies, is a semi-automated spin coater that provides the control and ease of use needed by small to mid-sized labs. The Velocity LTE features an individual control board for each of its three spindles. It can process 80 lenses per hour, and it has an auto-priming function and eliminates overspray.

M&S Technologies has launched a web-based vision testing/screening technology that allows patients to perform web-based vision testing at home, with all detailed results transmitted to the doctor for review and follow up to determine whether more intensive testing is required.
