- Aldeyra Therapeutics, Inc. has announced an agreement with the FDA for the use of reactive aldehyde species (RASP) as an objective sign for dry eye disease (DED) treatment. RASP are pre-cytokine pro-inflammatory mediators elevated in the tears of DED patients and correlate with DED symptoms and signs. The company is working on a RASP inhibitor called reproxalap.
