PRESERVATIVE-FREE LUBRICANT DROP
Alcon announced the European launch of the newest addition to its portfolio of dry eye products – Systane Complete Preservative-Free Lubricant Eye Drops, now in an easy-to-use, multi-dose bottle. (The United States launch is planned to follow in early 2022.) Its nano-droplet technology allows for fast-acting hydration, tear evaporation protection, and long-lasting relief, according to the company. To ensure the safe delivery of artificial tear, the bottle’s closing tip system uses patented PureFlow technology.

ENHANCEMENTS TO SPECIALTY LENS
SynergEyes, Inc., announced three innovations for the SynergEyes VS scleral lens: 1) SynergEyes VS Multifocal, a Front Surface Progressive Center Distance design, with available adds of +1.00 D to +3.50 D in 0.50 D steps; 2) Aberration Control, which helps address lens-induced aberrations for consistent power throughout the optical zone; and 3) Limbal Clearance Factor (LCF) option that broadens the area of limbal clearance. It is available in two options: LCF 1: 25 μm change; LCF 2: 50 μm change.

IPL SYSTEM FOR DRY EYE
Quantel Medical has launched C.STIM, the company’s new-generation intense pulsed light (IPL) system to treat dry eye disease (DED).
