CooperVision named its 2022 Best Practices honorees and student scholarship awardees. This year’s Best Practices honorees were chosen based on their efforts across five key categories: (1) industry advancement, (2) community impact, (3) patient experience, (4) specialty services, and (5) team building. Meanwhile, the student scholarship recipients were selected based on their academic standing, demonstration of leadership and participation in school or community events, honors, and additional optometry-related experience.
The 2022 Best Practices honorees are Blaine Eye Clinic (Blaine, Minn.); Brill Eye Center (Mission, Kan.); Clements Vision Care (Sun Prairie, Wisc.); Edmonds Vision Center (Edmonds, Wash.); Eyecare of Lehi (Lehi, Utah); Invision Eye Care (Fergus Falls, Minn.); Mountain View Vision (Colorado Springs, Colo.); Urban Optics PLLC (College Station, Texas); Wauseon Eye Care (Wauseon, Ohio); and Woolf Eye Lab (Pasadena, Md.).
The 2022 Best Practices scholarship awardees are Dana DeVito (Indiana University School of Optometry); Benjamin Gutsin (Salus University Pennsylvania College of Optometry); and Briana Vargas (Rosenberg School of Optometry).
The Best Practices program recognizes U.S. eye care practices that are committed to advancing optometry and providing exceptional patient care, CooperVision says. The student scholarship program, created in 2020, provides outstanding third-year optometry students with the opportunity to attend the program’s educational summit, where they can learn from the honorees.
