The American Optometric Association (AOA), American Optometric Student Association (AOSA) and Optometry Cares — The AOA Foundation announced the 2023 winners of the organizations’ annual awards. The 2023 award recipients include: Glen Steele, OD, of Tennessee – Distinguished Service Award; Jon Pederson, OD, FAAO, of Colorado – Optometrist of the Year; Amy Puerto, OD, of Louisiana – Young Optometrist of the Year; George Veliky, OD, of New Jersey – Optometric Educator of the Year.
