Among the key takeaways: A total of 94% of wearers say they would make sacrifices in other areas before giving up contact lens wear. Olleyes Inc. joined forces with Tobii to add advanced eye tracking features within the Olleyes’ VisuALL ETS package. Specifically, by utilizing Tobii eye tracking, the VisuALL ETS stimulus remains consistent with the same region of the retina regardless of user error. This increases the precision of the data and improves the doctor’s ability to confidently diagnose their patients through highly optimized means, according to the press release. Additionally, the new eye tracking technology will allow for more ocular tests, including perimetry scans and ocular motility testing, to be integrated into the device, Olleyes says.
 
Salvat Laboratories Submits NDA for Inflammation and Pain Treatment After Surgery 
Salvat Laboratories submitted a New Drug Application to the FDA for the approval of the ocular corticosteroid clobetasol, formulated in a nanoemulsion for the treatment of inflammation and pain in post-ocular surgery patients. IMPACT-SVT is the patented nanoemulsion drug-delivery technology that improves drug penetration and bio-adhesion, providing comfort, according to the press release.

Transitions Optical added diminished reality to its Fittingbox virtual try-on tool to erase frames, enabling consumers to virtually try-on a variety of frames and Transitions lenses sans the need to remove their prescription eyeglasses, according to a press release.
