Practice Tip: Have staff pre-appoint patients
To maximize the schedule, have staff pre-appoint comprehensive exam patients before they leave the office, writes Tonya M. Reynoldson, OD, in her August article, “Schedule for Success.” Staff then send patients reminders at one month, two weeks, one week, and one day before their appointments via text, or email if their appointment has not yet been confirmed. This action step decreases the likelihood of no shows, Dr. Reynoldson writes. For the full article see https://www.optometricmanagement.com/issues/2023/august-2023/schedule-for-success.
