Practice Tip: Prepare patients for presbyopia
Preparing patients for the onset of presbyopia makes them more amenable to accepting this inevitable change in vision and the vision-correcting options available, writes Timothy Earley, OD, in the Sept. issue article, “Satisfy the Needs of Plano Presbyopes.” Here’s a patient script he says he uses: “Though your vision is changing, you don’t need to give up certain hobbies or tasks just because your eyes are no longer able to focus as they once did. While your vision will never be exactly like it was in your teens, 20s, and 30s, we have modern, convenient, and cost-effective solutions to help with your sight.” For the entire article, visit https://www.optometricmanagement.com/issues/2023/september-2023/satisfy-the-needs-of-plano-presbyopes.
