EyeDock launched Ask EyeDock AI, a clinical assistant for optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians, and students. According to the company, it answers the questions that come up in practice—such as which lens fits a refraction, what a drug’s dosing is, or which code applies—by looking them up in EyeDock’s own databases rather than drawing on the open internet. Every answer links to the EyeDock page it came from, so the clinician can check the source in 1 click.
The assistant is available now to every EyeDock subscriber, individual or practice, with free credits included to get started.
Clinicians can use it to: look up medications, soft and GP contact lenses, ocular conditions, ICD-10 codes, and CPT and E/M codes and modifiers; filter the catalogs; run the optics (vertexing, transposition, spherical equivalent, crossed cylinders, residual over-refraction, K conversions and Prentice’s rule); fit and compare lenses; and review clinical content.
Ask EyeDock AI is included with every EyeDock subscription, including the 14-day free trial. Each account starts with 300 free credits, and practice accounts receive 300 for each seat. A straightforward lookup uses 1 credit; a question that needs deeper reasoning uses 6. Additional credits are available as 1-time packs starting at $20 for500 credits. OM
