■ The Maxima Evolution automatic patternless edger, from AIT Industries, features a tutorial menu, 4D grooving with front and rear safety beveling, servomotors, which offer reproduction of size- and shape-holding tolerance within thousandths of a millimeter, and an adjustable roughing process to accommodate material type.
In addition, the device includes a mini-bevel function — facilitating the production of fine metal frames — a 15° tilting angle for grooving, continuous 3D mapping and edging quicksets, among other features.

Low vision device
■ The SightMate LV920, from Eyetonomy, is a portable, light-weight (eight ounces) video magnifier worn as spectacles that optimizes residual peripheral vision in patients who have central vision loss, such as those with age-related macular degeneration, during stationary activities, the company says.
Through its combination of edge detection (contrast enhancement), color correction and optical zoom, the device can also assist patients who've experienced gradual field of vision loss, such as glaucoma patients, Eyetonomy says.
The SightMate LV920 assists those who have central vision loss.
Features include a small control unit, 920,000 pixel display and a two mega-pixel camera sensor.

Mirror lenses
■ The Nextreme Performance Lenses, from Nexus Vision, are a line of mirror coated lenses, which come in colors Island Blue, Navy Blue, Blue Flash, Stone Brown, Tropical Green, Silver Flash, Sunset Red and Chrome with optional NVision anti-reflective (AR) coating on the lens' back surface. Lens features moisture system
■ Air Optix Aqua, from CIBA Vision, is a daily and extended wear (up to six nights) monthly replacement silicone hydrogel lens made of lotrafilcon B. It features the company's patented Aqua Moisture System. This system is comprised of a proprietary moisture agent that helps lubricate the lens for initial comfort, a lens material that minimizes the rate of lens dehydration — helping the lens to maintain moisture for all-day comfort — a smooth surface with wettability and deposit resistance.

Magnifying lamp
■ The Deluxe Magnifying Lamp, from Daylight, is designed for inspection work. The lamp features a table clamp, a 1.75X magnification, 7.5-inch glass lens, a flicker-free electronic ballast, two separate 13 watt low-heat tubes with individual switches for lighting control and a "Clip-on Lens" system that allows you to change the lamp's magnification, sans tools.
