Low vision device display
■ The EasyVision Display, from Eschenbach Optik of America, Inc., is a point-of-purchase display of low-powered magnification devices (ranging from 3.00D to 14.00D) for patients who aren't getting enough magnification from their readers for small print. The display is comprised of 10 devices in four different designs — hand-held, stand, spectacle and telescopic. A hand-held magnifier can aid in short-term tasks, such as reading a prescription bottle. A spectacle magnifier is suited for a long-term task, such as reading a newspaper.

Sun lens
■ MauiPure, from Maui Jim, Inc., is a polarized sun lens. The lens is injection-molded, de-centered, scratch- and impact-resistant and provides the optical clarity of glass and an ABBE value greater than 50, the company says. Also, the lens is comprised of Maui Jim's Polarized- Plus2 technology, which provides UV ray and glare protection, while enhancing color. The lens is currently available in three frame styles: Olowalu, Mala and Nakalele. Further, three lens colors are available: neutral grey, HCL (high contrast lens) bronze and Maui HT (High Transmission).
The MauiPure sun lens provides the optical clarity of glass and an ABBE value greater than 50, the company says.
