product notes | • Heidelberg Engineering has released the RegionFinder software for its Spectralis BluePeak Models. The RegionFinder enables these instruments to quantify and track dark areas on BluePeak images, typically used for following progression of geographic atrophy, the company says. Heidelberg customers will receive the software upgrade at no charge. Visit www.HeidelbergEngineering.com. • The EyeDispense App for iPad 2 is for optical professionals to help patients who have poor vision select new eyewear. The optician holds the iPad2 up to the patient and captures four different three-second clips so the patient can compare their choices. Once all four are acquired, the patient can narrow the choice, or send a photocard via e-mail or post it on Facebook to get the opinions of friends or family.
