OCT Device
■ The iScan, from Optovue, is a software-assisted scanning device designed to simplify OCT technology in any practice setting. iScan guides the patient through the entire exam and requires minimal operator involvement, the company says. The system features two medical exams as well as a wellness scan, iWellness, that provides a cross-sectional view of the retinal layers, a retinal thickness map and a ganglion cell complex map. The iScan also includes retina and optic nerve head scans.

Durable monocle
■ The Ruggedized Tactical Monocle (RTM), from Nearsights, is a modern-style monocle designed to withstand the wear and tear of intense outdoor activities. The RTM, which is available in multiple diopters, is waterproof, made of durable material and features a scratch-resistant polycarbonate lens that is protected by a thick, custom-made silicone frame and secured with a stainless steel ball chain. Adjustable eyewear
■ Adlens Interface, from Adlens, is the latest in the company’s line of adjustable eyewear and developed to relieve the effects of digital eyestrain, including redness and irritation, head and neck aches and other discomfort. Adlens Interface combines continuously adjustable focus with specially formulated HEV light-reducing tint, allowing wearers to adjust their vision for the distance from the screen and reduce digital eyestrain. The modern frames are available in crystal or black with tinted lenses.

Lens coating machine
■ MyCoat, from Vision-Ease Lens, is a coating machine for small to mid-sized optical labs. Measuring 28 inches wide by 32 inches deep by 68 inches high, this compact vacuum sputter coater allows in-office labs to produce up to six pairs of lenses per hour. MyCoat includes pre-installed coating formulas, including two AR coatings and four mirror coating colors options, such as blue, for easy operation. All formulas are compatible with all Vision-Ease Lens products, as well as those from alternate suppliers.

The new option is available in a diameter range of 14.2mm to 24mm, with a standard diameter of 16.4mm, and includes cylinder powers of -0.25D to -10.00D in 0.25D steps, with axis ranging from 1° to 180° in 1° steps.
