■ The Ocular Nutrition Society (ONS) (ocularnutritionsociety.org) will sponsor a Nutrition Education Symposium before the AAO’s Meeting on October 6, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the New Orleans Convention Center. The symposium costs $150 for non-ONS members.

■ David Keeler has retired from Keeler Instruments after 50 years of service. His grandfather started the company in 1917.
■ NovaBay Pharmaceuticals, Inc., maker of Avenova eyelid cleanser, announced it has signed a nationwide distribution agreement with AmerisourceBergen, large global pharmaceutical sourcing and distribution services companies, to carry and distribute Avenova to U.S. pharmacies.
