■ Sun Pharmaceutical Industries announced an agreement to acquire Ocular Technologies, Sari (OTS), an Auven subsidiary. OTS owns exclusive worldwide rights to Seciera, (cyclosporine A, 0.09% ophthalmic solution), which is in a Phase-3 confirmatory clinical trial for the treatment of dry eye disease.

■ Optometric alliance IDOC LLC has been acquired by Investors Management Corp. from The Riverside Company. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

■ Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Inc’s 1-Day ACUVUE MOIST Multifocal is among the winners of R&D Magazine’s 2016 R&D 100 Awards. In related news, J&J offers The Digital Guide, an effort to help ECPs drive and retain patients, for its Acuvue brand. OM
