Jack Schaeffer, OD, FAAO, Moderator
Dr. Schaeffer is president and CEO of an 18-location group practice and refractive laser center in Birmingham, Ala. He lectures internationally, serves on industry boards and panels, and is involved in clinical studies. He recently authored a miniseries on the history of contact lenses and the contact lens specialty practice.

Mark Schaeffer, OD
Dr. Schaeffer practices with Schaeffer Eye Center, a comprehensive primary eyecare practice with 18 locations throughout Alabama.

Whitney Hauser, OD
Dr. Hauser is an assistant professor at Southern College of Optometry and practices in the college-affiliated TearWell Advanced Dry Eye Treatment Center in Memphis, Tenn.

Jerry Robben, OD
Dr. Robben is chief optometrist with Bowden Eye & Associates in Jacksonville, Fla., and an instructor in the practice’s Dry Eye University program.

Walter O. Whitley, OD, MBA, FAAO
Dr. Whitley is director of optometric services at Virginia Eye Consultants, an optometry/ophthalmology tertiary referral center with five locations throughout the state. He is also residency program supervisor for the Salus University Pennsylvania College of Optometry.

Douglas K. Devries, OD
Dr. Devries is a co-founder of Eye Care Associates of Nevada. The majority of his clinical practice involves surgical comanagement and treatment of disease, particularly ocular surface disease.

Special thanks to program coordinator Lauren Levine, who has been in the eye industry for more than 25 years. She has been spearheading our ophthalmology dry eye events for 3 years. This is her first year coordinating the optometry event.
