In 1988, George Michael’s “Faith” was blasting from pop radio, Bruce Willis was dangling from a fire hose off a sky scraper in “Die Hard,” and Vision Expo West (VEW) made its debut, providing a “one-stop-shop” of sorts for eye care professionals. To celebrate this milestone, this year’s VEW, taking place Sept. 26 to Sept. 29 at the Sands Expo, in Las Vegas, is expanding its educational offerings to include three courses that, “provide insight on the future, while using history as a guiding force,” according to VEW. They are:

Barry Eiden, O.D., F.A.A.O., with panelists Michele Andrews, O.D., Millicent Knight, O.D., F.A.A.O., FAARM; Jill Saxon, O.D., F.A.A.O.; and Louise Sclafani, O.D.
