ALCON LAUNCHES TWO LENSES

Alcon has released AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde for Astigmatism and DAILIES COLORS contact lenses.

The AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde lenses offer long-lasting lens surface moisture (proprietary HydraGlyde), a Unique Precision Balance 8|4 lens design that holds the lens in place upon blink and SmartShield Technology, which aids in guarding against irritating deposit build-up, reports an Alcon-issued press release.

Introduced at AOA’s “Optometry’s Meeting” in St. Louis, DAILIES COLORS are daily disposable lenses in four colors: Mystic Blue, Mystic Gray, Mystic Hazel and Mystic Green.

These contact lenses provide color enhancement by combining an outer ring with the company’s 3-in-1 Color Technology, according to a company-issued press release. The inner ring brightens and adds depth; the primary color enhances eye color,and the outer ring defines and emphasizes the iris. (Mystic green has a less-defined outer ring vs. the other colors.)
