VISION EXPO DEBUTS ‘BLOCK’ AND ‘NEXT’ FRAME NEIGHBORHOODS
→ IT’S NO SECRET that celebrities and entertainment, in general, influence fashion. When it comes to frames, Elton John popularized jewelry-studded and oversized frames. Additionally, Tom Cruise’s Wayfarers in “Risky Business” and Johnny Depp’s aviators, as Gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson, in “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” sparked interest in these shades.
With this in mind, Vision Expo East 2019 (VEE) will debut the exhibit hall neighborhood BLOCK, which will feature celebrity-influenced eyewear. And for those optometrists and opticians interested in getting a peak at the future of frame fashion, the exhibit hall neighborhood NEXT will be available to highlight independently designed urban frames and innovations from new designers.
Registration for Vision Expo East, taking place March 21 to 24, at NYC’s Javits Center, is now open at VisionExpoNY.com , where you can also find tons of information, including educational opportunities and specific events. OM
