One-third of this year’s Vision Expo East (VEE) attendees came from new practices and optical locations, reveals a VEE press release.

“I think a third of Vision Expo’s new attendees came from new practices and retailers because there is a growing interest in entrepreneurship, particularly among millennial optometrists,” says Bimal Patel, O.D., a member of VEE’s Young Professionals Advisory Group. He adds that he thinks other industry organizations, such as buying and alliance groups, and social media are also spreading the word and helping bring more attention to the value of attending the show. Vision Expo West 2019 will take place Sept. 18 to Sept. 21 in Las Vegas. Vision Expo East 2020 will take place March 26 to March 29 in New York City.
