Instagram Corner
Many of you may know Instagram is a great social platform, but the downside is it does not allow you to embed links within posts. However, we have found a way to combat that issue to help you maximize using the social tool for your practice. We recommend using Linktree! Linktree is a free, popular linking tool widely used on Instagram, which will help you to drive traffic to key areas of your practice. July Observances
THE AOA shares resources with members to kick off a back-to-school marketing campaign and observes school sports eye safety during the month of July.
Through the IDOC Social Media service, during July we share posts that educate practice Facebook and Instagram followers about the importance of protecting the eyes from UV rays, and we also focus on marketing the sunglasses in the optical. We start back-to-school marketing for practices in late July and August. Whether students are in a traditional classroom setting, attending classes online or participating in both formats, the visual demands placed on children are more intense than ever due to an increased amount of time spent on digital devices.
IDOC has provided some post images you may use to communicate how your practice can help parents prepare their children for the school year and, as referenced in this article on the AOA website, how a comprehensive eye exam is as essential as school supplies for back-to-school success.
Consider Staff Spotlights
AT IDOC, we see good engagement with practice posts that feature doctors and staff. We call these posts “spotlights.” We create a post image, which lists the person’s name and job title, and we share a bit about their background and why they love working at the practice. Sharing the stories of the people who work at the practice is an effective way to humanize your brand. Followers sometimes share testimonials about the doctor in the comments under these posts, which is great word-of-mouth marketing about that individual doctor.
