In today’s eCommerce environment, consumer trends favor online businesses. The eye care industry is no exception, but many consumers still want to do business with real people, not faceless companies. Show the patients your human side!
ACTION STEPS
- Drop the stock photos! Take some pictures of you, your staff and your office, and use those on your website and marketing collateral. These can be a mix of professional photos and photos taken with a smart phone. Most phones have excellent camera capabilities these days.
- Show your personality. Post fun or entertaining pictures on your website and social media accounts. This could be from a recent holiday party or a photo of your lead optician’s new dog. Images like this build an emotional connection to your practice much better than educational content about eye diseases.
- Get personal. Strike up a conversation about some mutual interest, like sports or cars. The patient will not only see you as a doctor, but a human being. OM
