Johnson & Johnson Vision Care announced the FDA approval of ACUVUE Theravision with Ketotifen, a drug-eluting daily disposable contact lens. The lens contains 19 mcg ketotifen and is indicated for the prevention of ocular itch due to allergic conjunctivitis and vision correction in patients who do not have red eyes, are suitable for contact lens wear, and do not have more than 1.00 D of astigmatism. DAILY CONTACT LENS FOR ASTIGMATISM
Alcon officially launched DAILIES TOTAL1 for Astigmatism during SECO 2022. The daily disposable toric lens features a water gradient surface material, which provides a gradual increase in water content approaching 100% water at the surface. Incorporating Precision Balance 8|4 lens design technology, the toric lens is designed to settle in an average of 37 seconds. DAILIES TOTAL1 for Astigmatism also features SmarTears tech- nology, which uses an ingredient found naturally in tears that helps to stabilize the lipid layer of the tear film.

LIGHT-SENSITIVITY FILTERS
Eschenbach Optik of America, Inc. introduces its new Acunis FL-41 filters, which are designed for patients who have light sensitivity due to migraines, traumatic brain injury, and other eye conditions. The lenses reduce the transmission of select light wavelengths responsible for glare, thereby providing a more comfortable viewing experience for patients. Three tints available including Light (25% light absorption), Medium (50% light absorption) and Dark (75% light absorption).

ONCE-DAILY OTC ALLERGY DROP
Allergan announced that LASTACAFT (alcaftadine ophthalmic solution) 0.25%, a once-daily drop for the prevention of itching due to allergic conjunctivitis, is now available without a prescription. Following the re- cent FDA approval of a complete prescription to OTC switch, the original prescription-strength formulation is now available online and in retail stores. It is available in a 5 mL multidose bottle containing a 60-day supply, as well as a twin pack with two 5 mL multidose bottles for a 120-day supply.

VIRTUAL REALITY DIAGNOSTIC HEADSET
Xenon-VR is launching the Xenon-1, a mobile virtual reality headset designed for VF assessment. The headset can be customized to each patient’s refractive error, and it eliminates the need to maintain the patient’s chin and forehead in a fixed position during testing. The system’s clip-on testing modules include: Module 1 for VF testing, which will include the 24-2, 30-2, (SITA Fast, and SITA Faster), and the 10-2; Module 2, which contains an autorefractor and phoropter. Xenon-1 will be commercially available by the end of Q4 2022, according to the company.
