Visionix USA announced the Briot Attitude 3, an in-house finishing system that offers new features designed to provide a customized eyewear experience. The Briot Attitude 3 Torque Management System adjusts edging cycles to the thickness of the lens and material. In addition, TruScan technology can trace extreme wrap frames while avoiding deformation. Briot Attitude 3 combines both parallax-free centering and wavefront technology. Lens design, layout, and power map are visible with Shack-Hartman technology, allowing the optical power and prism to be displayed.

Software adds patient engagement tools
MaximEyes.com EHR and practice management software has announced the release of new patient engagement tools, which allow practices to communicate with patients via text and email, as well as schedule appointments online directly, all without third-party integrations. Texts and email reminders for such items as appointments can also link to the patient intake (check-in) form to electronically collect or update medical history, insurance details, and other patient information. In addition, the Reputation Management feature includes online surveys, marketing tools, referrals, and reviews.

WeVerify provides an immediate picture of the benefits available for each patient at least two days before the visit for vision and medical payers.
