I was recently part of a “start, stop, continue” exercise during which the leadership team had a spirited discussion about what we should start doing, stop doing, and continue doing. There was not unanimous agreement on this, but by the end of the meeting, we all had a much clearer perspective on issues impacting the business that led to more informed strategic decisions.
What to Consider
Start. Focus on innovation and creative thinking. This may mean adopting new technologies or digital tools to optimize your operations, experimenting with new marketing strategies, or introducing fresh team-building exercises to boost morale and creativity. Think outside the box.

Stop. Determine which processes are outdated or resource-draining. To accomplish this, ask yourself which strategies have become routine but no longer add much value to the practice. Additionally, consider stopping initiatives that don’t align with current business goals, such as ineffective marketing or redundant meetings. Halting these activities frees up time for more important tasks.
Continue. Identify strategies that continue to deliver strong results. These could be patient engagement strategies or specialized optician training. Also, continue to enhance team collaboration, and sustain efforts that drive revenue and customer satisfaction. In other words, keep doing what’s working! OM
