A Modern Approach to AMD Diagnosis and Management
On-demand webinar
This webinar will provide 1 hour of COPE-approved CE credit
Research regarding early identification of age-related macular degeneration and management with nutritional support in AMD patients has evolved greatly over the last 20 years since publication of the first AREDS study. Optometry has the opportunity to embrace evolving science to achieve early and proper diagnosis of AMD, and to then provide complete carotenoid nutrition, that has demonstrated the ability to improve vision outcomes in patients with this disease. This course is designed to discuss the data supporting dark adaptation testing in clinic, as an early indicator of pre-clinical disease, and advancements in nutrition research, demonstrating improved visual outcomes in patients with age-related macular degeneration.
