Practice Tip: Step Out of Your Comfort Zone
In her latest, “Inspire. Lead. Succeed” column, Dori M. Carlson, OD, MAL, FAAO, recommends optometrists try saying “yes,” more than “no,” when it comes to invitations to events and such that are outside their comfort zone: “Too often, we say, ‘no.’ It’s our gut reaction…” she writes. “Don’t get me wrong. ‘No’ is not a bad word. Sometimes, saying it is essential, but that word can also limit us from growing and reaching our full potential. We need to use it judiciously.” For her entire latest column, visit https://www.optometricmanagement.com/issues/2023/january-february-2023/inspire-lead-succeed.
