New reader for low vision
Pulse Data HumanWare introduces myReader, a low vision auto-reading device that uses proprietary SmartSense technology. It captures an 8.5-inch x 11.75-inch page and displays the text so patients can read it. Within three seconds of placing a document on the reading table beneath the sensor, the enlarged text appears on the LCD monitor, rearranged like a page from a large-print book. The user can select one of three reading modes: row, column or word. myReader also offers other assistive functions. In live video mode, users can accomplish difficult tasks such as threading a needle or reading a medicine bottle. Eschenbach will distribute the product.
