LED headlight
■ The ri-focus LED headlight, from Riester, aims to improve illumination during examinations, the company says. The ri-focus LED’s lamp can be focused at a distance of 40cm and is fully adjustable. A hands-free, wireless unit, the device’s headband enables free movement. The lamp also features a flexible hinge that can be moved with one hand and stays firmly in place, which allows the practitioner’s other hand to remain free, the company says.

Progressive lenses
■ The Coze advanced design lens (ADL) and Coze Wrap, from Robertson Optical Laboratories, are the company’s newest digitally surfaced free-form progressive lenses. Coze ADL is made from a digital free-form method of grinding, and powers are compensated to allow for the patient’s unique frame angle, tilt or wrap and wearing vertex, the company says. Eyecare professionals then take measurements for these features, and Robertson enters them into calculations to override default measurements. Coze Wrap, which is part of the Coze ADL package, is designed for wrap frames and enables optimal edge-to-edge vision, the company says.
