■ Clariti 1day, from Sauflon, is a family of silicone hydrogel daily disposable contact lenses. This group of contact lenses includes sphere, toric and multifocal lenses. ■ Essilor Instruments USA introduced the NEKSIA edging system, the latest generation in the company’s line of finishing solutions. The system is designed to finish today’s premium lenses and frames in-house with a high degree of precision and operator ease, Essilor says.

Dry eye products
■ Lacrivera’s Dry Eye line features several product offerings. The VeraPlug Punctal Occluder is available in sterile, pre-loaded and non-sterile bulk packaging and in three sizes. VeraC7 Collagen, offered in 0.2mm, 0.3mm and 0.4mm, provides temporary dry eye relief, the company says. Vera90 Extended Wear Plug, intended for post-LASIK-induced dry eye, is a synthetic absorbable implant. Other dry eye products include BioGlo and TearFlo diagnostic tests and the Bruder Eye Hydrating Compress.

Refraction technology
■ VX 55, from Visionix Inc., enables users to digitize a manual phoropter and control the refraction process from their tablets. After connecting to the device, VX 55 allows for freedom of movement while providing full control over the phoropter head and projection chart display. The device’s interface was designed similarly to that of a manual phoropter, and users are aided by the VX 55’s interactive tutorial guide screen, the company says. Also, measurements can be imported directly to an EHR system.

• SynergEyes, Inc.’s Concierge Service is an online platform to assist doctors after placing their first order of the company’s Duette hybrid contact lenses. The service helps to train doctors and staff to identify potential candidates for Duette contact lenses. Support includes Skype or FaceTime training sessions, assistance with initial lens orders and a telephone hotline.
• United Contact Lens added two lenses to its NewGen line. NewGen Aspherex is a monthly disposable that uses the company’s aspheric optical zone, designed to enhance vision when using computers and screen games.
