■ Asahi Vision Inc. has launched its introductory products, the aLC-100 Lens Checker and the aLM-100 Basic Auto Lensmeter, to the market during the Vision Expo West meeting. Both will be available during the fourth quarter of 2016.

■ The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued PRN Physician Recommended Nutriceuticals’ Dry Eye Omega Benefits product a method patent, which provides evidence the formulation improves outcomes for patients suffering from occasional dry eye symptoms, according to the company. This is the second patent awarded to PRN for the omega-3 nutritional product.
