Alcon has launched SYSTANE HYDRATION PF, a preservative-free eye drop for dry eye disease patients who have aqueous-deficient dry eye disease or sensitive eyes and are using lubricating drops more than four to six times a day. Systane Hydration PF will be available in 30 single-use vials in select retail stores and online.

Eyeris released a daily disposable contact lens, Eyeris Daily. The lens has an 8.5 mm base curve and a 14.3 mm diameter in sphere powers of +6.00 D to –13.00 D (0.50D steps over –7.50 D and +4.50 D). The Eyeris Daily Lens has a custom-engineered mix of emollients, hydration agents and a cushioning agent, as well as hioxifilcon A lens material. The lens is only available through Eyeris’ network of eyecare practitioners.

COVD-19 TEST
Quidel Corp., a diagnostic and molecular diagnostic testing provider, has received Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the FDA to market its Lyra SARS-CoV-2 Assay, a real-time test for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 in patients potentially infected with COVID-19. EUAs allow early availability of tools when no alternative is currently available. Lyra SARS-CoV-2 Assay is currently for sale in the United States, available for purchase through Quidel salesforce and Cardinal Health.
