MacuLogix has introduced the AdaptDx Pro, its next generation of dark adaptation functional testing. (Impaired dark adaptation is an early biomarker of AMD.) AdaptDx Pro is a self-contained wearable headset, requiring no dark room or external computer and features Theia, an artificial intelligence-driven technician that provides guidance to the patient to ensure reliable and consistent testing.

Bausch + Lomb has announced expanded parameters for its Biotrue ONEday contact lenses for astigmatism. The toric parameter range will increase by more than 60% to include additional axis powers.

SCLERAL CONTACT LENS
X-Cel Specialty Contacts announced the extension of its Atlantis Scleral product line. The new line extension offers the ability to independently adjust the central sag (up to 200 μm in 50 μm steps), quadrant-specific landing zone options (up to 250 μm in each quadrant in 25 μm steps), and quadrant-specific limbal vault zone options. Two new fitting sets have been designed; a 15.5 mm diameter, 12-lens set for existing set holders and a 24-lens set for new users containing 14.5 mm, 15.5 mm and 16.5 mm diameters.

Contamac introduced Nutrifill, an FDA-cleared preservative-free contact lens solution indicated for filling and rinsing specialty gas permeable lenses. Nutrifill contains electrolytes (calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphate and sodium), with a pH (7.4) and osmolality (300) that closely mimics the body’s natural tears.

ABB Optical Group has updated its practice performance and dashboard analytic software with new features and a new name. Now called ABB Analyze, the software has expanded EHR integrations, new administration tools and a new onboarding portal.
