The Global Specialty Lens Symposium (GSLS) was set to take place Jan. 21 to Jan. 23. The meeting was held virtually, due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic. GSLS, presented by Contact Lens Spectrum (CLS), also published by PentaVision, focuses on the successful management of ocular conditions using today’s specialty contact lenses. It does so by offering CE presentations, COPE-approved education, panel discussions, workshops and a sponsor marketplace. GSLS GOES VIRTUAL
The year 2021 is the first time in the history of GSLS that it’s been held virtually, among many other industry events. In spite of the unprecedented nature of this, its organizers saw the benefits in offering it virtually.
Roger Zimmer, CLS publisher and GSLS executive vice president says, “A virtual event made it possible for people from around the globe to attend this premier contact lens meeting from the comfort of their homes, including those who have not been able to attend GSLS previously. The meeting presents an impressive lineup of clinicians providing education on a wealth of contact lens-related topics. There’s something for everyone.
