Welcome to the Optometric Management Symposium. My name is Dr. April Jasper, and I’m the chief optometric editor of Optometric Management magazine. I am so excited that you’re here! It’s going to be a great weekend!

We have an incredible lineup of continuing education for you. Not only will you hear about AI—a topic everyone is eager to learn more about—but we’ll also cover contact lenses, nutrition, and neuroscience. Dr. Andrew Lee will be joining us, and Dr. Susan Cotter, past Academy president, will be here to speak on pediatric optometry.

There’s so much to look forward to! Our speakers are dedicated to connecting science and clinical application, helping us understand how to integrate new research into everyday practice management.

Here’s my request: have fun, enjoy, and learn—but please also stop and say hello! Tell me how you think we’re doing with the magazine. We want to know how we can improve and continue making Optometric Management as outstanding as it has been for the past 60 years.
