CooperVision recently welcomed specialty contact lens fitters from across the United States to its manufacturing facility in Alajuela, Costa Rica, for the company’s first Specialty Elite Summit.

The 3-day event convened experienced practitioners to exchange best practices for fitting advanced and custom contact lenses, while also addressing broader topics such as practice growth, patient engagement, and operational efficiency.
The summit prioritized collaboration among high-experience fitters, and peer-led discussions focused on clinical innovation and optimization of outcomes. Attendees shared practical approaches to managing complex lens fittings and enhancing care for patients who require customized vision correction.
The agenda also featured sessions on specialty marketing programs and outreach resources, enhancing the patient journey through customized care, and navigating shared challenges in the specialty lens space.
These discussions provided actionable insights into how practices can increase visibility, retain patients, and manage the nuanced expectations that come with specialty lens wearers.
