To mark World Cleanup Day (Sept. 20), CooperVision released the video, “Turning Plastic into Purpose,” to highlight the social and environmental impact of its net plastic neutrality initiative with Plastic Bank. The video series can be found here.

Through the initiative, CooperVision purchases credits from Plastic Bank equal to the weight of plastic in participating contact lens brand orders, including plastic in the blister pack, the lens, and the laminates, adhesives, and ink in secondary packaging. Each credit represents 1 kg of plastic collected and recycled, with benefits such as access to vision care and grocery vouchers provided to collectors and their families.
