The New England College of Optometry (NECO) will host its 2025 Industry Collaborative from November 3 to 4, 2025, in Boston, MA. The event will bring together educators, students, clinicians, industry partners, and policy leaders with the theme “Reimagining Optometry: Equipping Graduates for a New Era of Care.”
The Collaborative opens with a networking dinner on Monday, November 3, at NECO’s Beacon Street campus. The following agenda will take place on Tuesday, November 4 at WBUR/CitySpace in Boston:

Opening Session: Optometry’s Role in Systemic Health will examine the integration of optometry into broader public and population health efforts.

Session 1: Strengthening the Foundation: Science, Curriculum, and Clinical Readiness will address core science, student wellness, and curriculum alignment with modern practice.

Session 2: Tech-Forward, Patient-Centered Innovation will feature interactive demonstrations of artificial intelligence (AI), imaging technologies, and emerging tools.

Session 3: Beyond the Bench: How Industry Powers Education and Student Success will explore the integration of technology into education and clinical care.

Closing Session: Higher Education in the Age of AI, led by Dr. Joseph Aoun, president of Northeastern University, will cover preparing graduates for AI, automation, and interdisciplinary innovation in health care.
