One year after its launch, The Myopia Collective—a joint initiative between CooperVision and the American Optometric Association—has expanded significantly, with more than 70 optometrists now actively leading efforts to reshape the landscape of childhood myopia care in the United States.
The Collective empowers practitioners to raise awareness and improve community responses to pediatric myopia, especially in shifting the standard of care from vision correction alone to proactive, evidence-based management that slows the progression of myopia.

To mark the anniversary, the initiative released a new infographic that illustrates the national reach and influence of its Change Agents—its original cohort of optometrists. The visual summary highlights the practical impact being made in communities and clinics across the country. In the past year, new Change Agents have joined from Wisconsin, Maryland, and Montana.
The initiative is open to all members of the optometric community through a general membership tier. Participants—regardless of their role or credential—can join The Myopia Collective as Members. They gain access to exclusive educational content, clinical tools, and resources that support practice transformation and patient education.
